Bleecker Street Munchies Map: Where to Eat Near Smacked Village

Bleecker Street Munchies Map: Where to Eat Near Smacked Village

You’re leaving Smacked Village… now what?

You’re on Bleecker Street in the middle of Greenwich Village. One of the best eating neighborhoods on the planet. Whether you just picked up some The Village for later or grabbed a couple of pre-rolls for the night, you’re never more than a few minutes from something fire to eat.

This Bleecker Street Munchies Map is a quick, no-stress guide to spots our team actually hits after a visit to 144 Bleecker. No algorithms, no fake “Top 100” list—just real food within a short walk of the shop.

Munchies Stop #1: GMT Tavern

Vibe: Chill neighborhood pub for burgers, wings, and a pint
Walk: Literally next door – about a 30-second walk from Smacked Village

GMT Tavern sits at 142 Bleecker, right on the corner of Bleecker & LaGuardia. Think classic pub food, a big draft beer lineup, and TVs if you want to catch the game. It’s the move when you want something easy, filling, and close enough that you can still see the dispensary sign behind you. GMT Tavern NYC

Munchies Stop #2: Wicked Willy’s Bar & Grill

Vibe: Party-energy bar food – wings, sliders, quesadillas, and fries
Walk: About 1 minute from Smacked Village, just up Bleecker

A few doors down at 149 Bleecker, Wicked Willy’s leans full pirate-bar chaos in the best way: loud music, beer pong tables, and plates that show up piled high. Great if you’re in a group and want shareable snacks with a little chaos in the background. Wicked Willy’s Bar

Munchies Stop #3: Little Hen

Vibe: Cute, brunch-y comfort food with a French/American twist
Walk: Around 1–2 minutes from Smacked Village

At 155 Bleecker, Little Hen is for when your munchies are a little more “let’s sit down and be cute” than “grab a slice and dip.” Expect eggs, pancakes, and upscale comfort food in a very Instagram-ready room—perfect for date-night post-Smacked. Little Hen

Munchies Stop #4: Carroll Place

Vibe: Italian-American gastropub – wood-fired pizza, pasta, and cocktails
Walk: About a 2-minute stroll along Bleecker

Carroll Place at 157 Bleecker does Italian-inspired comfort food in a big, cozy space that works for everything from brunch to late-night bites. Think pizzas, pastas, and cocktails in a dim, brick-and-wood setting that feels very “Village night out.” Carroll Place NYC

Munchies Stop #5: Old Tbilisi

Vibe: Georgian comfort food – khachapuri, grilled meats, and rich plates
Walk: 2–3 minutes from Smacked Village on Bleecker

Craving something different? Old Tbilisi at 174 Bleecker serves Georgian classics—cheesy breads, stews, grilled meats, and herb-heavy salads. It’s cozy, hearty, and low-key one of the best “I didn’t know I needed this” stops when you’re properly hungry. Tbilisi Garden

Personal note from the writer: I was actually based in Dubai, and Georgia is just a short flight away. So, Georgian food has become a bit of a comfort obsession. Seeing Old Tbilisi on Bleecker always makes me weirdly happy.

Munchies Stop #6: Joe’s Pizza (Carmine Street)

Vibe: Classic New York slice – fast, cheap, and iconic
Walk: About 4–5 minutes from Smacked Village (Bleecker → Carmine)

Joe’s Pizza at 7 Carmine Street is a Greenwich Village institution and a textbook NYC slice: thin, foldable, and always busy. Walk a few blocks toward Carmine, grab a slice or two, and eat standing on the sidewalk like a proper New Yorker. Joe’s Pizza NYC

Munchies Stop #7: John’s of Bleecker Street

Vibe: Legendary coal-fired whole pies in a classic Village dining room
Walk: Around 6–8 minutes from Smacked Village straight down Bleecker

If the munchies are serious and you’ve got a crew, keep walking down Bleecker to John’s of Bleecker Street at 278 Bleecker. They only do whole pies, cooked in a blistering coal oven, with that old-school NYC red-sauce-joint energy. It’s been a Village staple for decades and is absolutely worth the walk. John’s of Bleecker St.

Bonus: Keep the Night Going at Legacy Club NYC

If you’re not ready to head home yet, you don’t even have to leave the building.

Downstairs from Smacked Village at 144 Bleecker, Legacy Club NYC hosts comedy, music, open mics, and private events in a members’ lounge. It’s an easy way to turn a quick dispensary run into a full Greenwich Village night out. Legacy Club NYC
