The New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) has initiated a recall of multiple cannabis products produced by IndoGrow LLC after they failed retesting for unallowable pesticides. These products, sold through licensed adult-use dispensaries across the state, were originally quarantined over concerns about lab testing validity. Upon re-testing authorized by the OCM, the affected lots were found to contain pesticide levels that violate state regulations and pose a potential public health risk.
While the OCM has not received any reports of health issues tied to the recalled products, the recall is being issued as a precaution. The office encourages consumers to return any affected products—even if opened—to the dispensary where they were purchased
Consumers experiencing cannabis-related symptoms are urged to seek medical care and contact their healthcare provider or the Poison Center at 1-800-222-1222. Any adverse events or incidents can be reported to the OCM by completing an incident report form at cannabis.ny.gov/report-an-incident.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the source of the pesticide contamination and to assess any potential impact on public health. The OCM is working closely with licensed dispensaries and distributors to ensure the affected products are removed from the market promptly.
Consumers are advised to stay informed about the recall and to take appropriate action to ensure their safety.
